From its outlaw roots to its current half-in, half-out mainstream tap dance, professional cage fighting has always congratulated itself on its authenticity. This is one of the world's most individualized sports, and very few of those individuals have ever invested in personal stylists. In MMA, most people come as they are, and some of the sport's biggest stars have succeeded precisely because of a willingness to let their personal freak flags fly.
Even today, there aren't many signature shoe lines floating around — and there's never really been a uniformed team concept that worked beyond the training room.
